Why would Aliens visit Earth just to destroy it and eat us?

Does that make sense to anyone? Who the hell is gonna travel millions of lightyears just to kill beings from another planet? We wouldn't do that. If we find a planet with life on it, most of us would want to say howdy, grab a drink and discuss the differences between our solar systems and how much sugar they like in their coffee. Why wouldn't Aliens just be curious about us as well? Need resources for their planet? There are billions of unoccupied ones filled with all kinds of stuff!
