Do you think these are ok for my 11 year old son (just to wear to school etc)?

Umm definately too young. He's going to be becoming a teenager and those are wayy to immature. But check with him first to see if he personally likes them, if so. Let him do his own thing and have his own, unique style. =) *individuality*
